            Students union is a partof decision making bodies of the college. The student advisory committee of thecollege organizes student union election every year.

            Studentsocieties in each department have elected student as office bearers. The officebearers coordinate with the students and assist the department in promotingacademic and extracurricular activities. Furthermore, they play an importantrole in mobilizing students for extracurricular events organized at the collegelevel.

            Studentsocieties at the college level are effectively managed by the elected studentoffice bearers. They play an important role in organizing events. Theycoordinate with the teachers and give directions to the students regardingopportunities for displaying their skill sets and talents at intra / intercollege and university events. Students are actively involved in varioussocieties of the college and in sports they have won prizes every year invarious inter-college / university competition.

            Studentsare engaged in programmes like cleanliness drive, health check up  blood donation camps, tree plantation driveand social awareness campaigns. Students also undertake projects that mayaddress the need of people who are from economically weaker background.Participation in such projects fosters the spirit of community responsibility.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES OF THESTUDENT’S UNION

1.     Todevelop sense of social service and patriotism through Community service.

2.     Toinculcate ethical and moral values in students.

3.     Tomaintain a healthy relationship between student’s faculty and non-teachingstaff and to promote an academic environment in the college premises.

4.     Toorganize cultural programmes  in view of developinga cultural environment in and around college campus.

5.     Toorganize indoor and outdoor games for the students so that they can explorethemselves.

6.     Toarrange educational tour to provide the student’s chances for cultural exchangeand enhancement of knowledge.

7.     Toorganize Blood donation camp and health check up Camp in view of boosting upthe students in social welfare.

8.     Toorganize various extension and awareness activities through NSS.
